The obesity problem in the U.S. has nothing to do with fast food or high fructose corn syrup. It has to do with old ladies swallowing multiple animals to catchy songs. Problem solved. You’re welcome, America.

But why is this woman eating all these helpless animals? And why are we wishing death upon her for doing so? D:
Because she swallowed a fly, so obviously had to swallow a spider to catch the fly. And then she had to swallow a bird to a catch the fly, then a cat to catch the bird, then a dog to catch the cat, then a goat, and then a horse. Obviously. It’s doctor recommended.
However, I don’t know why she swallowed a fly. Perhaps she’ll die?
Because obviously, goats eat cats and horses eat goats. Obviously.
I thought I was the only one deeply bothered that horses don’t eat cows, or goats or whatever version and that animal doesn’t eat cats. It screwed me up for life.

I remember, when I was a kid, that there was some kind of nursery rhyme in which first a fly was eaten by a spider, then the spider eaten by a bird, the bird eaten by the cat, and so on (you can see it in the picture: cat, pig, cow, and finally the fat Bertha). Pretty neat picture to that song I’d say *lol*
P.S. I come from Germany and don’t know if that nursery rhyme was ever translated.

Well everyone looks remarkably happy. But I think when it I got to the horse it ended with “she died, of course”! Oh yeah someone said that. Maybe today’s kids have a more politically-correct version?? LOL maybe Peta should re-write it…
